The Chancellor and Chairman, Board of Trustees of Light House University,
Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude, also revealed that dedicating his life to Christ was the best decision he’s ever made. saying the decision transformed his life for good, urging youths to follow suit.
He encouraged Nigerians to dream big, stating, “The day you stop dreaming is the end of your life.” Omobude also noted that challenges are part of life, but God always provides a way out .
The former PFN president’s remarks were made during a ‘Fire Side Chat’ with the youth community, highlighting his testimony and faith.
Dr. Omobude also shared his remarkable story of rising from humble beginnings as a newspaper vendor on Benin’s streets to funding his education but now empowers others through education, setting up institutions to uplift Nigerians, especially the less privileged.
Earlier, Vice Chancellor Prof. Osemwegie Omorefosa appealed for private universities to access Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), citing global examples like Harvard and Oxford.
Keynote speaker Prof. Omokhoa Adeleye emphasized faith, knowledge, and education as keys to national development, urging Christian institutions to excel .
The celebration included free healthcare services for Evbuobanosa community, with 200 treated and given free drugs. Beneficiary Mrs. Blessing Ogbeiwi thanked Omobude, praying for more blessings .
