The Egabor family of Uwanno has announced the passing of the Okumagbe of Uwanno kingdom of Etsako East LGA, Royal Majesty Dr. George Oshiapi Egabor JP OON.
He joined his ancestors on December 4, 2025, as stated in a release signed by Prince Humphrey Egabor
The release further stated that the family and Uwanno Kingdom community are mourning the loss of their leader.

Before his death, Dr. George Oshiapi Egabor, was suspended and later removed by Governor Monday Okpebholo in April 2025 due to escalating kidnapping and killings in his domain, with legal challenges pending regarding the removal process.
