The Edo State University, Iyamho, Uzairue, Etsako West council area, has resolved the uncertainty surrounding the appointment of a Vice-Chancellor with the appointment of Professor Dawood Omolumen Egbefo as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the institution, replacing the former Vice Chancellor, Professor Emmanuel Aluyor,.
In a Facebook post, the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof Aluyor who reeled out his achievements also expressed his delight in handing over the reins to his successor, Prof Egbefo .
Prof Egbefo, a Professor of History and International Studies served as the deputy Vice Chancellor academics before his recent elevation.
He is taking over from Prof Aluyor,, the pioneer Vice Chancellor of the institution who has concluded his mandatory two terms of four years each with an additional six months extension.
Prof Egbefo assumed his role at the University on October 3, 2017. He is from the Esan North East local government of the Edo Central.
