The Chairman of Etsako East local government area, Hon. (Princess ) Benedicta Attoh and the PDP leadership in the local government has assured the state governor,Mr Godwin Obaseki and the party Guber candidate Barr Asue Ighodalo of winning the local government at the September poll.
According to the council chairman, Etsako East PDP is growing in leaps and bounds as it continues to harvest more members from the opposition parties in the local government area. “We are fully ready for the upcoming Governorship election and we will win she assured.”
The Council Chairman spoke in Agenebode when the State Governor, Obaseki and the PDP Governorship Candidate , Barr Ighodalo and others leaders of the party in the state visited the Local Government headquarters to interact with the masses .
The chairman said “the Who is who in Etsako East is still with the PDP. We are not bothered with what is happening in the atmosphere, all I know is that as you (Governor Obaseki) is leaving office, Dr. Asue Ighodalo will be taking over from you as the next Governor of Edo State”
While assuring the people that his administration is sensitive to their concern, Governor Godwin Obaseki who took time to listen to the challenges from each wards and proffering solutions to them joyfully said “Edo state is one of the top three states in Nigeria today that is solidly structured in all sectors, saying it is too late for Edo to have an illiterate as a Governor.
“It is not in 2024 that Edo will now get governor ‘wen he no go school'”
“But take a look at our PDP candidate. He is well equipped and ready to deliver. We cannot therefore joke with the governorship election. I am here in Etsako East because I know what they have been doing for me as governor; so, the PDP candidate also knows the value of Etsako East people.”We are on ground and know the pains of the people he assured.
In his remarks, the Edo State PDP Guber candidate at the September election, Dr. ghodalo said “data does not lie, stating that when one uses sense and tactics, one would achieve results. He assured all that nobody can hold anyone down in Edo state. He assured that with collective effort all forms of sufferings must stop. By the Grace of God, we shall dance victory dance after the election.”
Dr. Asue Ighodalo signed off with his mantra: “WE GO DO AM!”
