The Edo National Association Worldwide (ENAW) has promised to complete dialysis centres in Ekpoma, Edo Central and Okpella in Edo North Senatorial Districts to access to healthcare by the people.
Already, the one in Benin City, Edo South Senatorial District, had been completed and commissioned.
The Global President of the Association, Engr. Bose Oviasu stated this in a statement on Sunday to mark the IWD where she paid glowing tribute to Nigeria women for their managerial skills, resilience and indomitable spirit in Nation building.
Oviasu said the celebration has become an imperative and ingredient of evaluating the role of women in advancing social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women globally.
She commended the unflinching support received from members of the association and outsiders to realize the dream of completing the centre.
”As we celebrate the International Women’s Day, I wish to state that
the renal dialysis centre in Okpella, Edo North has been completed. The one in Ekpoma, Edo Central senatorial district is still under construction and both facilities will take place later this year.
Already, the centre in Benin has been completed and it is in use by members of the public.
The President reiterated her resolve to promote the welfare of members, foster unity, and better understanding, sustain the rich cultural heritage of Edo State, and attract more developmental projects to the state in consonance with the vision of the association to give back to the society.
Oviasu maintained that before and during the attainment of Independence, Nigeria women were forceful, passionate and resilient in guaranteeing social justice, women emancipation and unlocking the potential of women towards nation building.
She said the international women’s day brings to focus the urgent need to dismantle all forms of religious, and cultural barriers, discriminatory laws, and social norms, to ensure equal rights, justice, safety and dignity of women globally.
Reflecting on the “Theme of this year’s celebration which is “Give to Gain, Engr. Oviasu said, “when we give, we gain together. Let’s help forge gender equality through abundant giving, which informed the collective decision of Edo National Association Worldwide to establish Renal Dialysis and Diagnostic centre in Benin city to reduce the cost of dialysis service and mitigate the ailment.”
