‎Ovation publisher and former presidential aspirant, Chief Dele Momodu, has joined the African Democratic Party (ADC) and declared no interest in any elective position ahead of the 2027 election.

‎Chief momodu  was formally handed over the party membership card by the state chairman of the party, Odion Kennedy at the party secretariat in Benin.

‎In his remarks, momodu  shared story on how  he was born in Ile-Ife, Osun State, but didn’t get to trace his Edo roots early due to his father’s passing. It took him 30 years to visit Ihieve community, Owan East LGA, where he’s since built a house.

‎He said  he’s joining the party to support like-minded individuals in rescuing the country from a “one-party state and one man”

‎He praised Senator Yisa Braimoh, who hails from Ihieve, for adopting as son and also making his visit to the community memorable.

‎Senator Braimoh described Chief  Momodu as a “joggernut” who’s made a name for himself as a publisher, teacher, and writer. He said Momodu’s entry into ADP is like a hippopotamus entering a river – it’ll shake the scene! Braimoh’s words of praise highlight the significance of Momodu’s joining the party.

‎The Edo state  chairman of the party, hon Odion, who hinted that the coalition was not under any illusion that the 2027 journey would not be “tough and rough”, expressed optimism that with politicians in the mould of Dele Momodu joining the coalition, the chances of the party in the next general election remained bright.

‎Among those national leaders of the party were Chief Odigie Oyegun, Senator Yisa Braimoh and Senator Roland Oweh.
