Children’s Day; Iyamu Urges Protection of children’s right amidst economic downturn

The hon member representing Orhionmwon south constituency at the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Bright Aitenguoba Iyamu joined the Children’s Day celebration with a visit to Iguododo primary school in Orhionmwon Local Government Area.

The lawmaker who referred to the children as the leaders of tomorrow, advised parents, guardians, and care givers to take good care of their wards amidst the economy downturn.

He said the theme of this year celebration which is Inclusion, for every child” is very apt to the present situation of the country.

According to him, “This theme means that every child belong to a society, community or nationality is entitled to equal rights and this includes right to good education.

Iyamu, further stated that education is not a scam, as such children should be encouraged to read their books and also concentrate on their academic pursuit.

Children Day is celebrated on the May 27th of the calendar year across the globe.

The day serves as a reminder about the importance of children in our society.

It also raises awareness about the need to protect children’s rights, provide them with education and ensure their well-being.
Similarly , It encourages communities to come together and create a better environment for children to grow and thrive.

Furthermore, Children’s day serves as a reminder that the country should continue to create a safe environment for children to evolve into resourceful, creative and patriotic adults.
