‎Ayogwiri Community Turns Out for Royal Father’s Fidua Prayers‎

‎ Inhabitants of the Ayogwiri community in the Etsako West Council area gathered in large numbers to honour their late royal father, HRM Alhaji Braimah Etu Inaboya lll, on the 40th day of fidua prayers for the repose of his soul.

‎The prayer session took place at the palace grounds in Ayogwiri on Monday, December 29, 2025.

‎The late royal father enjoyed a long reign, having been installed in August 1974. He was one of the longest-reigning monarchs in the Uzairue chiefdom.

‎Prominent figures from Ayogwiri and beyond attended the solemn occasion to pay tribute to a man who not only lived a humble life but also served as a shining example of community service and exemplary leadership.

‎Among the notable attendees at the 40th-day fidau prayer session was Chief James Idonigie , Prince Jerry Inaboya,Alhaji Abubakar Inaboya  along with leaders and representatives of the Ayogwiri Osiregbemi Union.

‎Representatives of the Ogieneni  of  Uzairue kingdom, HRH Oba Kadiri Omogbai and some village heads in  Uzairue clan were also present to spice up the event.

‎The chief Imam of Ayogwiri community, Alhaji Abdullahi momodu made  a brief remarks at the ceremony.

‎The political class was not left out; they arrived in droves, filling every available space at the venue, resplendent in their flowing agbadas and other traditional robes.

‎Both the APC and PDP leaders in the community united, putting aside their political differences to honour the late royal father.

‎Hon Isah Abu of the PDP was among the prominent politicians who gathered at the venue, demonstrating the respect shared across party lines.

‎So also  were Alhaji Osgood Abubakar of the APC and Hon Romeo Omoike, an aspirant for the Etsako west LGA  chairmanship seat.

‎Community members firmly recognised the late royal father for his impactful reign, celebrating him as a man of great wisdom, unwavering principles, and unparalleled commitment to community service.

‎Pastor Amidu  Inaboya, the eldest son of the deceased, passionately praised his father’s achievements, highlighting the late royal father’s ability to take a balanced approach to issues. He emphasised that, despite any imperfections, the late Inaboya had a remarkable capacity for love and inclusivity toward everyone.
