‎Auchi Unites Behind Igbei for APC Chairmanship Ticket  in Etsako west LGA

‎By DADA AYOKHAI

‎Hon Abubakar Igbei, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship aspirant in Etsako west  has received overwhelming support from his kinsmen in Auchi community with an adoption  as their consensus candidate, cutting across party lines, ahead of the APC primaries scheduled for November.

‎This endorsement is a significant boost for Igbei’s campaign, demonstrating the community’s faith in his leadership abilities.
‎The Auchi community’s backing is expected to play a crucial role in Igbei’s bid to become the APC chairmanship Candidate for Etsako West LGA .

‎The Auchi political class decision was revealed by Prince M.K.O. Momoh, a prominent APC leader from Ward 2, Auchi through a statement he posted on his social media page.

‎According to Prince Momoh, all major political stakeholders from Auchi, irrespective of party affiliation, are in agreement that Hon. Igbei should be given the “first right of refusal” in the APC primary for the Etsako West chairmanship position.

‎We have communicated this position to Governor Monday Okpebholo and the APC State Chairman, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, in clear terms, and we are confident that Hon. Igbei will be given the APC ticket to run.”

‎Hon Igbei ‘ll be facing aspirants from Uzairue community, who’ve received backing from the South Ibie community.

‎ The South Ibie APC Ward Leaders’ Caucus has pledged to support a candidate from Uzairue, citing the party’s zoning arrangement.

‎Hon Igbei is regarded as a well-established politician from Auchi, with a strong track record of community service. His experience as a former councillor has given him a platform to demonstrate his commitment to his people, and they’ve shown their appreciation for his efforts.

‎ His fellowship and dedication to the community have earned him a strong reputation, which is likely contributing to his current adoption as the consensus candidate by the Auchi community.

‎The Uzairue community is claiming that they’ve only had a chance to serve once as Chairman of Etsako West LGA  between 1999 and 2003. However, the Auchi community is pushing back, saying it’s time for fairness in the distribution of offices. The Auchis are pointing out that Uzairue has already secured the senatorial seat through Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the APC state chairman, and has also received other key appointments.

‎This has led to tensions between the two communities, with each side vying for representation and influence within the APC .
