Abdallah Moves to Strengthen FSP Iwogban Stores

Benin City — Edo Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs. Eugenia Abdallah, has introduced new measures to reform the Family Support Program (FSP) Iwogban Stores, including fresh occupancy letters for tenants.

At a meeting held at the ministry’s premises in Benin, Abdallah said delays in rent threatened the scheme’s sustainability and announced stricter payment timelines with penalties for defaulters.

She urged tenants to engage the Ministry on challenges rather than neglect obligations.

Mrs. Abdallah urged tenants experiencing challenges to engage the Ministry and communicate their difficulties rather than neglect their responsibilities. She reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to empowerment and community development, emphasizing that continued support will be tied to compliance with agreed terms.

The meeting also served as an interactive session, allowing tenants to seek clarification on payment structures, tenancy conditions, and future expectations. Occupants, including Asotie Ebodaghe and Mrs. Obeto Anita, appreciated the opportunity to engage with the Commissioner and pledged their commitment to meeting their obligations.
