Wellspring University, a private institution in Benin, Edo State capital, is set to produce 50 Nursing graduates at its forthcoming 13th Convocation ceremony.
In the convocation slated for October 17, 2025, the university will be graduating its pioneering Nursing and Medical Laboratory Science students
The Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Isaac Rotimi Ajayi disclosed this at a press conference in Benin City.
Prof Ajayi said the pioneer graduating Nursing and Medical Laboratory students also recorded 100% pass rates in their professional examinations.
He described the feat as a testimony of the institution’s growing reputation in the health sciences fields.
According to him, the Nursing programme recorded a remarkable growth having started with 50 students in 2021.
The Vice Chancellor, who proudly announced significant progress made by the institution during the 2024/2025 academic session said over 800 students were admitted in the period bringing the total enrollment figure to 2,149 students.
A total of 228 candidates are expected to be confered with various degrees with breakdown as 150 for the award of First Degrees., 78 for the award of Postgraduate Diplomas and Master’s Degrees.
,The breakdown indicated that 79 students bagged first class while 55 came out with second class honours.
The best student award went to Miss Eboigbodin Sonia Uwaila in the computer science programme of the Department of Computing, emerged as the Best Graduating Student with a CGPA of 4.96.

.At the postgraduate level, the graduating class includes:42 with Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD)1 Master of Business Administration (MBA)35 with Master of Science (M.Sc.) degrees in various fields.
