‎Nigeria @65: Believe In Your Country – Edo PCC Commissioner Urges Nigerians‎







‎As the world joined Nigerians to celebrate its 65 years of nationhood, the Edo State Commissioner for Public Complaints Commission (PCC), Mr Augustine Aigbavboa, has urged the citizens to believe in their country.

‎Aigbavboa who made the call in his Independence anniversary messages to Nigerians, noted that the call became necessary as “we don’t have another country to call our own except Nigeria.

‎The Commissioner who extended warm felicitations to Nigerians on the occasion, commended them for their resilience just as he  also encouraged them to remain patriotic to the positive cause of the nation.

‎The Federal Government Ombudsman who was appointed in 2024, however, opined that challenges are inherent to human existence, but noted that the approach to finding solutions is crucial.

‎While commending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for changing the socio-economic narratives of the country in the past two years, he noted that the agency aligned with the President’s policy direction.

‎He opined that the President’s policy direction marks a significant turning point in Nigeria’s socioeconomic and political trajectory

‎He also commended the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo for his efforts to revitalize various sectors in the state.

‎Aigbavboa who described the governor as a goal-getter, congratulated Nigerians and Edo citizens on the occasion, just as he  reaffirmed his commitment to public service.

‎The commissioner’ efforts within the few periods in office have yielded positive results, with numerous disputes resolved amicably.

‎The Public Complaints Commission is an agency of the Federal government of Nigeria under the Presidency which acts as an Ombudsman that receives complaints of the citizenry against the government or private institutions/organization or their officials and wades in to settle issues.

‎It was set up in 1975 to ensure accountability and transparency in the way the government and its agencies as well as organizations engage with the public and to curb arbitrary use of administrative powers by public officials within and outside government establishments.
