Warri Delta State, served as the venue for a one-day conference on financial empowerment organized by SMAT CONCEPT PROPERTIES.
The Warri Conference aimed to expose practitioners to modern trends and how to make income in the Real Estate Industry
SMAT Properties owned by Mr. Elijah Omoghene Otojanewhe and Co- Founder Mrs. Angelica Ifeoma Omoghene, has made giant strides since its inception.
As part of its mission to make the industry profitable and enduring for practitioners, the company has taken it upon itself to discover innovative ways to financially empower key industry players.
The conference was themed “Thriving and Excelling in the Real Estate Industry” and attendance was overwhelmingly positive.
Additionally, the theme represented a bold endeavour to create a symbiotic interface between major players in the real estate sector and other critical stakeholders.
Mrs. Angelica Omoghene emphasized this in her welcome address, stating that the SMAT vision seeks to bring harmony between beauty and excellence in homes.
She reminded practitioners of their primary role, which goes beyond merely identifying available properties and soliciting offers from interested clients.
She stated that they are expected to oversee the transformation of these properties from concept to reality, ensuring clients can inhabit beautifully planned cities, towns and communities.
Mrs Angelica Omoghene highlighted the considerable challenges faced by practitioners and encouraged them to adapt to the changing lifestyles and tastes of clients.
She described real estate professionals as “dream translators,” explaining that they take the fragmented ideas of potential homeowners and turn them into tangible realities using bricks and mortar, resulting in smart, beautiful, and affordable homes.
She also pointed out the significant impact that changing consumer lifestyles, technology, income levels, modern financing methods, and tastes are exerting on the sector and urged practitioners to rethink their strategies to provide superior and customized services.
She said, “As we move forward, I invite you to be part of this journey. Whether you are a homeowner, an investor, a business partner, or a supporter, your involvement will help bring this vision to life. Let’s work together to make this development a landmark of success and progress.”
She expressed her gratitude to the conference attendees as well as the facilitators, including Dr Teejay Chunu, Mrs Janet Ejiro Johnson, Mr Stephen Asemota, and Mr Elijah Otojanewhe along with his dedicated staff.
Many of the panellists delivered inspiring lectures that emphasized the importance of self-evaluation and a strong awareness of the dynamics of the business
Particularly noteworthy were the lectures given by several panellists.
In his presentation, Mr. Asemota highlighted that realtors must embrace self-introspection and branding as essential tools for success in the industry.
He identified key attributes such as charisma, demeanour, confidence, and an engaging personality while noting that the excessive focus on physical assets like land or property is one reason many realtors struggle to achieve breakthroughs.
Dr Teejay Chunu, a renowned certified leadership coach, explored the topic of motivation, stating that success in the profession is not solely measured by tangible sales, such as land or property, but by a host of other factors, with the practitioner’s state of mind being paramount.
He emphasized that a realtor’s mental state plays a crucial role in the decision-making process.
Dr Chunu urged realtors to prioritize people and be mindful of the company they keep.
He further stressed that the best way to grow is to be cautious about the friends we choose and how we interact with others.
In her presentation, the Senior Special Assistant On New Media to the Delta State Governor, Mrs Jannet Ejiro Johnson Spoke about the importance of networking and branding in the Estate business
She further said the key strategies are important tools to win clients , networking and branding she said work together to boost business,get practical insights and real life examples to enhance professional growth.
