Hon. Sunday Anamero Dekeri a.k.a. Danco has concluded his tour of the LGAs in the Edo South senatorial district
Hon. Dekeri, one of the leading governorship aspirants on the platform of the opposition APC, embarked on the tour to familiarize himself with the party members and leaders in the district with the view to possibly securing their votes during the APC guber primary
He was also able to touch base with party officials and supporters across the seven local government areas that make up the district
Almost at every point of stop-over during the tour, Hon. Dekeri who represents the Etsako federal constituency in the House of Representatives, delivered his hope-packed message in which he restated his loyalty to the party, adding he would not disappoint if allowed to fly the party’s banner at the forthcoming guber election
Borderline News 24 gathered that the lawmaker was given a rousing welcome at each of the local government areas they visited
Party leaders, supporters, and others turned out en mass to receive the amiable lawmaker who seems to have temporarily put on hold his law-making duties to pursue the dream of becoming the next governor of Edo State.
The chances of Hon. Dekeri winning the APC guber primary were further enhanced by the assurances he received from party stalwarts and leaders
Before now, he had visited Edo Central where he also garnered support from the party members
The APC guber primary is slated for February, going by the INEC timetable
Hon. Dekeri’s chances in the APC guber primary are suddenly looking bright after succumbing to pressures from friends and political associates across the three senatorial districts in Edo State to join the race.
