‎Amb Braimah Presents Letters of Credence to Serbian President

BELGRADE, 14th September, 2026 – His Excellency, Engr. Abasi Ogwime Braimah, on Monday, presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Mr. Aleksandar Vučić, President of the Republic of Serbia, at the Palace of Serbia, Belgrade.


‎The presentation accredits Amb. Braimah as the Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Republic of Serbia, with residence in Budapest, Hungary.


‎The ceremony marks a significant milestone in the longstanding diplomatic relations between Nigeria and Serbia, which span over six decades. It also reaffirms the commitment of both countries to strengthening bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.


‎Among the prominent Nigerians present at the event was Chief Richard Lamai, a friend and political associate of the Ambassador.


‎Ambassador Braimah conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to President Vučić and the people of Serbia, and expressed Nigeria’s desire to deepen collaboration for the mutual benefit of both nations.


‎President Vučić congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and assured him of the full support of the Government of Serbia.
